More project information

Katomi is a startup specialized in healthcare technologies. It offers an artificial intelligence-based solution for secure storage and intuitive indexing of images for medical use. Katomi was launched in Tunisia by Hédi Michau, a former surgeon who presents himself as passionate about new technologies, in collaboration with Chiraz Hamrouni, a software engineer who graduated from Ecole Supérieure Privée d’Ingénierie et de Technologies (ESPRIT) in Tunisia.

Katomi provides technological products that aims to contribute to the innovation of the medical ecosystem: (i) a cloud application that enhances and optimizes the management of medical photos generated in daily practice. It features secure storage, intelligent indexation and intuitive visualization; (ii) a diagnosis aid system powered by artificial intelligence technology through deep learning networks.

Katomi’s technology intends to innovate the healthcare industry by shortening the medical diagnosis process and enable better health and well-being.

Katomi expanded its activities to Switzerland and France, with offices indicated on their website in both countries. However, there is no similar indication in media or any mention of relocation from Tunisia which may question the permanence of the project.
