About the project

Joonko is an artificial intelligence start-up that seeks to help companies meet diversity and inclusion goals. Joonko uses AI to push for diversity in all stages of company recruitment, from the gathering of relevant candidates, to the actual hiring process of a new employee, as well as through existing staff members. Joonko identifies events of potential unconscious bias as they occur, and engages the relevant executive, manager or employee with insights and recommendations for corrective actions.

Joonko is an artificial intelligence start-up that seeks to help companies meet diversity and inclusion goals. Joonko uses AI to push for diversity in all stages of company recruitment, from the gathering of relevant candidates, to the actual hiring process of a new employee, as well as through existing staff members. Joonko identifies events of potential unconscious bias as they occur, and engages the relevant executive, manager or employee with insights and recommendations for corrective actions.

Pressing deadlines and a demanding workload can sometimes cause companies to make unconsciously biased decisions when it comes to hiring new employees. Joonko uses a peer-to-peer recruiting network to tackle D&I challenges during a company’s talent acquisition process. The AI platform allows multiple companies to work together in creating one mutual pool of relevant candidates who may have otherwise been overlooked. Joonko then pushes emails with relevant job opportunities to relevant candidates in the pool. Additionally, Joonko monitors and analyzes behavioral patterns in a company’s existing recruitment process and recommends simple solutions to eliminate conscious and unconscious bias in the workplace. To ensure inclusion and belonging amongst existing employees, Joonko launched the Diversity Forum where leaders in the field can learn, develop, and expand their skills while encouraging D&I strategies for professional development. 

Joonko can assist the Sustainable Development Goals related to Reduced Inequalities and Gender Equality. Founder and CEO Ilit Raz faced many challenges being a woman in the tech world that left her feeling alone and discouraged by unequal treatment. Inspired to increase diversity, inclusion, and belonging of underrepresented groups in companies, Raz founded Joonko as a tool to solve the root of all diversity.
